Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves) –
The top pick of the draft continues to be one of
the top-scoring young stars in the league today. Since the All-Star break, Edwards has scored in
double figures in every single game, averaging 23.8 points a game in that span.

which he is currently shooting the best percentage (37.9%). That is better than Damian Lillard,
Allen Iverson, and Luka Doncic during their rookie seasons.

Under the radar rookies
Naji Marshall (New Orleans Pelicans) –
Since the beginning of April, the undrafted rookie out of
Xavier has had a major increase in minutes by averaging 25.7 minutes per game in the Pelicans
last 7 games. Marshall has even started in 3 in those games in which he most recently scored a
career-high 15 points to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
Jordan Nwora (Milwaukee Bucks) –
Due to injuries on the Bucks roster, Nwora has twice got the
opportunity to start in the rotation. First came against the New York Knicks in which he had a
double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Second and most recently, the rookie small
forward scored a career-high 24 points and collected 6 rebounds.
Young rising stars
Gary Trent Jr. (Toronto Raptors) –
Since being traded to the Raptors, Trent Jr. has played the best
basketball of his young career. The third-year guard has averaged 18.4 points per game shooting
41.1% from the 3-point line and scored a career high 44 points in a win over the Cavaliers.
