You have the opportunity to sign a player for 10 years, you only have two options, Bryce Harper and Mark Trumbo.  Who would you take and why?  Who would you build your team around?  Let's see what their stats are and how they matchup against each other.

Let's start with Bryce Harper since all of the hype has been on him.  He was the top prospect in baseball so  you would expect him to carry lots of expectations.  But I would like to talk about not only…

Card Collecting: An Investment for the Future

It's amazing how much money you see baseball cards selling for.  Honus Wagner in any condition, minimum of $300,000 at auction, 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle in any condition pulls in thousands upon thousands, and all of the Stephen Strasburg autographed draft rookie cards go for a few grand.  A guy who isn't proven gets thousands of dollars for his card, never mind being proven, he hadn't even thrown a pitch in the major leagues and he single handedly turned the economy of Washington D.C.…

2011 MLB Predictions

Well, once again, baseball season is right around the corner.  The fans are getting restless waiting for the season to start.  So, in my opinion here's what is going to be happening this season in baseball, let's start in the National League.

NL East:  This potentially could be the biggest blow out of any division this year.  The Phillies have acquired Cliff Lee, and have made the best pitching rotation in the history of the game.  No team in the past even matched this…

Why Cliff Lee WON"T go to the Yanks

So, it was a bummer world series...no hitting, just pitching. It's not that we don't enjoy good pitching, it's just that if there is no hitting AT ALL, than it's just flat out boring. But that's not what I want to cover today, it's the Cliff Lee story.

A lot of people are saying that Cliff Lee is going to the Yankees, I hear for around 120M. I say, that's total crap. Cliff Lee loves Texas, and is from Arkansas. Although my name may give me a Texas bias, I'm…

The Fall of the Vikings

Hi guys, I'm back. I apologize for not blogging about the World Series, but, to me, it was one of the dullest we have had in years. Low scoring games, no homers, just pitching. It didn't make a very interesting ballgame. Anyhow, I wanted to talk about the Vikings. To be quite honest, I had high hopes for the Vikes this year. However, they seem to be crumbling. Issue number 1 would be Brad Childress. Now, you could say Brett Favre is the problem, but, in reality, he hasn't played that bad. The… Continue

I've Got the Dirt... on LeBron!

Okay crew, I'm back. And this time, I've got something big. If I sold this to TMZ they'd probably hand me a nice wad of cash. So here's the story. My Dad was in Cleveland, on his usual, weekly, business trip. He was out at dinner, and was introduced to a man who told him that he had the real dirt on LeBron James. Whether this is true or not, I don't know, but I have a feeling this man was legitimate. Supposedly, there was a clause in LeBron's contract, (that was kept undisclosed to the public)… Continue

It's Football Season!

Okay, today's blog is somewhat football related, but my topic has to do with a new prediction-like blog for each week of the NFL REGULAR season, and playoffs, of course. But I really don't want to talk about playoffs right now, just like Jim Mora. My initial plan was to put out a weekly blog every Saturday or so, and write about my thoughts on each game. I would set up the blog like this in a ?chart?… Continue

NO FOOTBALL FOR TOPPS

Well it looks like it will just be 2 companies for football cards next year and Topps is not one of them! What do you think?
